WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. — After nearly seven decades, the Tommy Bartlett Show in Wisconsin Dells announced Wednesday it will close permanently due to business losses during the pandemic.

So, yes, it is Ever’s order that did them in.
The date for the first show was May 22. I’m sure even if they moved the date up by two to three weeks they could have been able to put shows on through the summer. I guess unless people don’t want to attend because of the Trump virus. If they really wanted to they could open for the 2021 season. Again, it probably depends if they can get the necessary attendance of 2000 per show.
But you’d have to blame the lack of attendance on the Trump virus versus Evers.

They have contracts that were cancelled. You had to get the performers. You had get maintenance workers and other summer help. Some of these workers come from Europe, where there are severe travel restrictions.
Then you have have confidence that people will show up. With Asia and Europe travel severely limited, you lost those people. With the FIBs down south pretty much shut down and potentially facing quarantine when they go home, you lost those people.
You think the Southern half of Wisconsin could support the show by themselves?

The reason I asked about the mask mandate is because ya’ll are blaming Evers for this, and that is the only thing currently state-wide that he issued. The others bans/restrictions/regulation are on a county level.
Other businesses in the Dells, under the same restrictions that this waterski show was subject to, are finding a way to stay afloat. If Evers’ mandates…past&present…were the sole cause of this business failing, then shouldn’t all those others also fail?

Have you ever been to the Wisconsin Dells? There are many businesses in the area that involve mass gatherings, just like this waterski show. Other than the “waterski” aspect of it, there’s nothing really unique about it. Some of those businesses have closed temporarily, while others are still open. If the actions of our Governor were the sole cause of this business closing down, then one would think all those other businesses would also be closed down.
