Just in case you thought that the Democrats in the Senate weren’t crass political whores.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Long-stalled legislation to build the Keystone XL pipeline got new life on Wednesday after Senate Democrats suddenly abandoned efforts to block the measure in hopes of helping endangered Sen. Mary Landrieu keep her seat in energy-rich Louisiana.
They have held up a vote on this pipeline for years and the only thing that got them to allow a vote was the political calculation that it might help one of their fellow Democrats win an election. Screw the jobs and the economy…
Democrats want to deny the Republicans the victory on this one.
It just shows Democrats are against the middle class and good jobs. The pipeline wil also solidify our new found march toward energy independence and funding of Middle East terrorist oil.
Being against our energy independence is just wrong.
