I’m not sure if I feel better or worse to know that my police chief leaves his door unlocked. I suppose if he thinks our town is safe, so should I.

A 21-year-old West Bend man allegedly unknowingly broke into the West Bend police chief’s home, where he was subdued and arrested early Monday.
Asariel Ferreira made his initial appearance in Washington County Circuit Court on Tuesday for a criminal trespass to dwelling charge.
Ferreira said he was coming from a bar, trying to get home and didn’t know where he was when he entered Chief Kenneth Meuler’s home through an unlocked door at about 3 a.m. Monday, according to records.
A detective who responded said Meuler had Ferreira subdued face down with his hands behind his back. It appeared Ferreira was intoxicated because the detective smelled alcohol, according to court records.
Drinking and breaking into police chief’s home….we keep on getting even more choices for the Darwin award of 2015.
This guy might get jail time in Washington County.
In Milwaukee, he would get a wrist tickle and probably a beer for the road from Tom Barrett.
