This should come as a surprise to nobody. Of course hackers were trying to get into the email of the Secretary of State of the United States of America. That’s why it was woefully dangerous and criminally negligent for Clinton to keep her email on a private system in the first place.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Hillary Rodham Clinton’s private email server, which stored some 55,000 pages of emails from her time as secretary of state, was the subject of attempted cyberattacks originating in China, South Korea and Germany after she left office in early 2013, according to a congressional document obtained by The Associated Press.
While the attempts were apparently blocked by a “threat monitoring” product that Clinton’s employees connected to her network in October 2013, there was a period of more than three months from June to October 2013 when that protection had not been installed, according to a letter from Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., chairman of the Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee. That means her server was possibly vulnerable to cyberattacks during that time.
Well, I think this whole email thing is awful. To the extent that I’ve paid attention and understood it–which is minimal. Still, would it cause me to see one of the Republican contenders elected? No way, no how. I’ll take a skeevy, opportunistic politician interested in actually governing all day long over any of those crackpots.
But before I go taking anyone’s deeply held concerns about email and security and all that other crap too seriously, let us remember that it’s motivated by 100% pure partisanship.

Yeah, Scott, believe that.
Of course, how do you explain the FBI investigations and all the leaks from the Obama White House?
So, scott, are you playing dumb on purpose or are you really that dumb?
I’m not a Hillary Clinton fan but I do understand that everything is political and being so, the Republicans will do what ever they can to smear the Democrats and the Democrats will do what the can to smear the Republicans. It’s been that was forever and probably will. If Clinton was the first government person to work off a personal server I’d be somewhat concerned. We have the Benghazi outrage but lack of outrage over 12 doctors killed and multitude of patients getting injured in a U.S. attack. It’s all political.
There’s only one reason for Hillary to have a private server for email.
To conceal them.
If you support this woman for anything you have no ethics or common sense…
So, the Bush administration used a private email server. Are its supporters unethical or lacking in common sense?
I’m not even interested in how the two cases might be different. Don’t care because it doesn’t matter. Even if Bush printed out his private-server emails and wore them as hats to press conferences you’d still prefer him over any Democrat I could name. And I feel the same way about Hilary. Unless she’s an alien from another dimension plotting the invasion of Earth, I’d rather have her than any of the people likely to get the GOP nomination. That makes the entire thing politics by proxy. I’d rather talk about the politics directly.
Dan, I don’t understand your comment at all. As I said, I don’t really follow the issue. But then, you get you’re the type to think Limbaugh is a pretty good source of information, so perhaps you don’t know what you’re talking about either. Not sure.
