Senate GOP leaders announced an extraordinary session Friday to take up the bill and another to overhaul Wisconsin’s campaign finance laws. The announcement followed a Senate Republican caucus to go over members’ concerns over the legislation.

Knudson says he’s OK “from a concept level” with the proposed changes to the GAB bill, though it remained to be seen how the full Assembly GOP caucus would react.

“We’ll have to look at what they come up with,” said Knudson, adding late yesterday he had not seen final details of the proposed amendments.

Speaker Robin Vos, R-Rochester, said the Assembly plans to be on the floor Nov. 11 or 12 to take up the Senate changes to the GAB and campaign finance bills.
