(CNN)Marco Rubio is dropping out of the presidential race after losing the Florida primary to Donald Trump and failing to unite the Republican establishment against the billionaire front-runner.
“We live in a republic and our voters make these decisions,” Rubio said in Miami Tuesday night as his supporters booed Trump’s victory.
I like Rubio, but this is not his year. He’s a young man and I suspect that this won’t be the last time we hear from him.
If Trump gets nominated, he may share direct blame for helping to destroy GOP by splitting anti-Trump vote.
If that happens, he is done from a political standpoint.
I’ll bite.

So you want to clear the way for Trump?! Kasich is the desperate hope of the Republican establishment to stop Trump at the convention. Personally, I hope it works. I’d love to see Trump walk out with his delegates and run as a third party candidate.
What are the choices for the Republicans? A personal cult demagogue or a Christian demagogue?! Not a great choice. No wonder they consider Kasich their “Great White Hope.”
Now we just gotta get the millennials to the polls assuming no miracle for Bernie.
Kasich is the only adult in the room. He offers much more experience and presence than the other two. Trump is an unelectable buffoon, Cruz is truly a threat to democracy and is only a christian when it suits him. If either get the nomination Hilary doesn’t break a sweat on the way to the WH.
