A conservative group has filed a class action lawsuit against the investigators and former state officials connected to a halted criminal investigation into Gov. Scott Walker’s 2012 recall campaign.
In the lawsuit, the John K. MacIver Institute alleges the investigators violated the a 1986 federal law that protects electronic communications from illegal searches and seizures.
The lawsuit, which seeks unspecified damages, including punitive damages and lawyer’s fees, names special prosecutor Francis Schmitz, Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm, former Government Accountability Board director Kevin Kennedy and members of their staffs.
Excellent.
About time liberal witch hunters suffer some consequence for their awful behavior.
Hopefully, the defendants will not have their lawyers paid for by taxpayers.
And hope the lawsuit is not in Madison or they get a judge like the moron Lynn Adelman.
Liberals need to pay for their illegal behavior, so thanks to the MacIver Institute for going after them.
Dan:
You have claimed on other threads to being, or having been, a teacher. Too bad you didn’t retain some of the skills they taught you while getting a teaching degree, to wit:
-never use rude or offensive language when trying to make a point or engage in discussion, it only decreases your credibility;
-do your own homework, because a student will invariably catch your error. Example: You may want to re-think your wish concerning where the lawsuit will be filed, as Lynn Adelman serves on the Eastern WI District which does not include Madison or Dane County.
You are 0 for 2. That won’t get you to the majors.
