The Experimental Aircraft Association said that this year’s 64th annual EAA AirVenture fly-in convention in Oshkosh attracted about 563,000 attendees, a nearly 1 percent increase compared with 2015 and bringing a more than $100 million economic impact to the Oshkosh area.
EAA chairman Jack Pelton said attendance was outstanding, since the convention topped last year’s figures even with some mid-week weather challenges. Pelton said the EAA had “seven perfect days” in 2015.
