Geez. And I thought Trump had the fragile ego.
Notably, CNN decided not to reveal the identity of the Reddit user, HanAssholeSolo, if he issued an apology and promised not to continue publishing racist material. Some political commenters are calling the move by the CNN investigative team extortion. Donald Trump Jr. retweeted Dave Rubin‘s accusation that CNN extorted a private citizen for legal behavior.
This is what liberals do.
Threaten anyone with a contrary opinion to their liberal religion.
This is why liberal media like CNN is so dangerous.
I don’t have a problem with them being liberal, they should just have a disclaimer. “We are not objective journalists by any stretch of the imagination. We are unapolegetically liberal, which means we believe in censorship of opinions not within the political correctness sphere and out stories reflect our horrible, perverted, biases.”
That would be appropriate.
I would suggest something different from Mr. Scheunemann’s disclaimer. There is nothing wrong with having viewpoints different from others, it is the blind acceptance of questionable sources with obvious motives coupled with the inability to objectively deal with facts not in total agreement with their own beliefs that is the defect.
I would suggest something like a 12 step program. Maybe the first step would be accepting the fact that the media in our Country is biased or maybe admitting that CNN, AP, etc. are purveyors of fake news. I don’t really know the solution but screaming ‘squirrel’ or attacking someone else because the liberal can’t deal with a person not in lock step with their ideology is not the key.
CNN’s response certainly qualifies for a poster child nomination for the wrong way.
