This has been coming for a while.
Milwaukee County Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr. — the controversial, Stetson-wearing official who rose to national prominence with his no-holds-barred conservative rhetoric — resigned his office Thursday.
Clarke, who is in his fourth term, submitted a resignation letter to Milwaukee County Clerk George Christenson on Thursday afternoon. The sheriff was in Nashville and could not be reached for comment.
The news of the resignation was first reported by conservative talk show host Mark Belling.

The guy that supports dumping criminal thugs back into Milwaukee neighborhoods with his leftist ilk policies! That makes for more racism and discrimination than anything Clarke has said or done combined.
Sheriff Clarke has been an unofficial mentor for myself as well as many others in the conservative community. Him and I spent several hours discussing the problems in the heart of his city several days after the democrats in the Assembly made a political spectacle on the floor labeling me as a racist for daring speak out about the awful crime and unlivable conditions in our central cities.
May God bless this man and his future endeavors, as I suspect he will continue to have a positive impact on addressing the ills that we face in society today.
