Mark Belling broke this story, but it is a jarring signal that one of Evers’ first acts as governor was to strip the state welcome signs of the “open for business” message.
WFRV – On the borders of Wisconsin, the “Open for Business” signs that use to hang on the Wisconsin Welcomes You signs were removed, and one State Senator is now asking for them back.
State Senator Dan Feyen, of Fond du Lac sent a letter to Department of Administration Secretary Joel Brennan asking that the signs be sent to Feyen’s office where he says “would be happy to find places to display the signs in my office and district office to let our business community know that we are still “Open for Business.”
Feyen said he heard reports that the signs were removed on Monday.
“I ran for office to be a champion for economic development and workforce development and I will continue to be a leader advancing policy that is good for business in Wisconsin. If our small businesses succeed, we all succeed.”
We have a, covetous, liberal Democrat governor!
It would be dishonest to say we are “Open for Business”.
So Evers should get credit for his honesty about his awful administration taking over.
Why shouldn’t Evers be able to create his own slogan or not?
Walker invents one and you think it should be permanent?
Yawn.
Well, there was that covetous conservative governor that preached about the haves and have nots, divide and conquer, etc.. He coveted power and prestige to the point it got him evicted from the mansion. But then he moved to Milwaukee !!!
Nord,
It is not “Coveting” if you work and earn it in marketplace, which is what Walker advocated.
What liberals do is tax and take for their schemes. Liberal policy does not advocate voluntary consent in marketplace as a way to build wealth. Liberal policy consumes wealth…of others. Coveting and envy.
Jjf,
What slogan is Evers coming up with that is better?
“We’re not IL…but let me try”
“Make WI Venezuela!”
“Looking to revive liberal corruption…so other states arn’t so jealous”.
I got a million of them.
Which would you like?
Free market, like Foxconn, right? No winners and losers being picked around here!
Governors don’t need a slogan. If they do, so what?
What’s next, Belling breaks a huge story because he discovers that Evers wants to change the paint color in the master bedroom?
Jjf,
“Liberal fever swamps….now with extra muck!”
