“The journal said the error doesn’t change the main conclusions of the paper, which found that “personality traits do not cause people to develop political attitudes.”

As if ragging someone as they’re taking a leak and fleeing before they can zip up is going to initiate a cosmic epiphany. Hoffa’s got to be rolling in his grave (wherever that might be). I hope this is not the new face of organized labor.

“But professor Steven Ludeke of the University of Southern Denmark, who pointed out the errors, told Retraction Watch that they “matter quite a lot.” ”

“But professor Steven Ludeke of the University of Southern Denmark, who pointed out the errors, told Retraction Watch that they “matter quite a lot.”
“The erroneous results represented some of the larger correlations between personality and politics ever reported; they were reported and interpreted, repeatedly, in the wrong direction,” he said.”

And that, folks, is why scientific papers are peer reviewed. I hope you all learned something.

Some of us learned long ago that scientific peer review is only as good as the integrity of the “peers” doing the reviewing. News stories quoting Prof. Jones from the University of St. Somewhere’s politically biased expert opinions don’t carry quite the weight they used to. Pseudoscience pays way better than the real deal and it’s becoming much more difficult for us average folks to tell the difference.

“Pseudoscience pays way better than the real deal”.
Exactly, evidenced by the lucrative cottage industries denying climate change/global warming, and the creationists claiming the earth is 6000 years old.

That’s nothing compared to what a bunch of Alabama idiots did to rape and incest victims.
Awful. Just awful.
When they say liberalism is a mental disorder, here is exhibit A.
Here is exhibit B: https://www.google.com/amp/s/nypost.com/2016/06/09/science-says-liberal-beliefs-are-linked-to-pyschotic-traits/amp/
