Rioters Roll Through Madison

This wasn’t a protest. It was just rage. Our governor and Madison leaders are utterly failing to protect Wisconsin’s heritage and property.

Protesters tore down statues of Forward and a Union Civil War colonel, assaulted a state senator and set a small fire in a city building Downtown on Tuesday night after the arrest of a Black activist earlier in the day.

[…]

By early evening, protesters gathered outside the Dane County Jail, where Johnson is being held, and began marching Downtown. Roughly 300 protesters blocked traffic, yelling at drivers and telling them to join the demonstration. A few drivers drove through small crowds of protesters, leaving at least one man injured.

Organizers stood on top of a tow truck, vowing that the night would not be peaceful.

[…]

“This is not a peaceful protest, so if you came out here for a peaceful protest, you missed it,” one organizer said. “We’re done being peaceful. Now we demanding justice.”

Protesters set their sights on another statue, one of Col. Hans Christian Heg at the top of King Street, tore it down and dragged it into Lake Monona. Heg was a Norwegian immigrant and journalist who died of his wounds at the Battle of Chickamauga fighting to preserve the United States and end slavery.

[…]

Protesters set a small fire on one of the windows of the City-County Building Downtown, which also houses the Madison Police Department’s Downtown station. A group shattered the front entrance windows of the Tommy G. Thompson Center on Public Leadership, which houses several state offices, and others knocked down street cameras or spray painted over the lenses.

[…]

Some protesters punched State Sen. Tim Carpenter, D-Milwaukee, in the face after the lawmaker tried taking a picture, according to multiple reporters on the scene. Carpenter had been headed to the Capitol to get some work done late Tuesday evening when he was attacked.

The disgusting thug who these disgusting rioters and looters protested for, followed a man into a restaurant using a bullhorn, calling man a racist and was creating a disturbance. The thug already has a felony conviction. The cops put him u Derek arrest, as they should have, and then he fights the cops. Then escapes 2 or 3 times, putting the cops and the public in danger.
The cops should have tasted him after the 2nd attempt but by cops showed awfully good restraint.
One Hope’s he goes to prison for a few years but it’s Madison and Dane County, so nothing will happen to him.

While the looters and rioters were disgusting thugs, the politicians were equally as bad.
Herr Evers and the mayor of Madison let this get way out of control. There were 5 police agencies in the immediate area that could have stopped the thugs but Evers and the mayor let the thugs play.
They could have called in mutual aid but they chose not.
And thugs pulled down statues of a man killed in the Civil War fighting against slavery and a woman that signified the rights of women. Not only were the thugs violent, they are also very stupid. Must be that great public education they receive.
But in the end, Evers and the dumbass mayor let the rioters play and they should be ashamed of themselves.

I wonder if the lefties in charge have realized that warm fuzzies and good intentions aren’t going to stop their cannibalism.

How much does anyone want to bet that police would have been out in force if the neighborhoods where the Police chief or any of the politicians lived were being marched in.  They don’t care about the buildings where they practice their livelihood, we’ll all pay for fixing it, not them.  That includes the rioters with jobs.

Some protesters punched State Sen. Tim Carpenter, D-Milwaukee, in the face.

    Some protesters“.

Yet somehow I don’t feel his pain.  Reading through Carpenter’s hypocritical  twits –  “the GOP has lost the moral high ground”,  “during a crisis we Americans rallied together. Not in Trump’s USA and Fitz/Vos’ Wisconsin. Today’s GOP is all about power and dividing us” –  his beat-down is another obvious case of Reap What You Sow.

    Own it, Timmy.

“This is not a peaceful protest, so if you came out here for a peaceful protest, you missed it,” one organizer said. “We’re done being peaceful.

Ergo, all “protesters” should have all been arrested and jailed on the spot.  Something about the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and all.  Of course, Madscow authorities never feel it necessary to  uphold the constitution.   That would be too unwoke.

Just before 1 a.m. Wednesday, as protesters began trying to break the windows and doors of the Capitol, police arrived…

Two+ hours after the destruction began.

    Reap What You Sow.

Bigly. They always have every answer to every problem. They reject any and all solutions not their own. There’s nothing to be gained by wading into that collective of lefty idiots and becoming the object of their unfocused rage. Let them determine their own pain threshold.

Wow, what a pathetic response from a pathetic governor.
He could have had the Capitol, UW police and the State Patrol at the Capitol within minutes. Along with Madison and Dane County sheriff and along with other close by communities, he and dumbass mayor of Madison could have stopped the thugs. But nope.
Paul Soglin was a socialist and supported protests but he would have never supported the violence.

Evers says his administration is prepared to activate the Wisconsin National Guard to protect state buildings

Did Gau give him permission to “prepare to activate” the Guard now that the perps have left the scene?  Or do you suppose that Tony is “preparing to activate” the troops on his very own?

What a Girl-twit this guy really is.

  9. dad29

By the way, I don’t see LeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeRoy, the clerk-typist for some LEO outfit, commenting on his Lefty Brothers.  Maybe he’s a little embarrassed about hos his Lefty pals operate?

    Or early riser jjf.

Wizard sez:  wading into that collective of lefty idiots

… because he wanted to (read: the narrative portrayed isn’t what it seems)….

…Carpenter had been headed to the Capitol to get some work done late Tuesday evening when he was attacked…. – WI State Journal

“A 27 News crew came across Sen. Tim Carpenter around midnight.  A few moments later Carpenter collapsed and our crew called 911 to get him an ambulance”  -WKOW (ABC)

Note the lie perpetrated by WI State Urinal:  late Tuesday evening

And so Timmy just happened to be wandering to the locked down capital building at 11:30pm-12:00am….  to work?

When you realize what Timmy was really hoping to to do was to proudly promote that video in praise of his “peaceful” comrades – until they smacked him down – you understand just how deep his hypocrisy flows in calling to “stop the violence”.

And just how delicious the irony is.

  12. Mar

I just saw the video. He got beat up by 2 heavyset white women who bitched slapped him.
He should be embarrassed, unless he allowed it to happen.

  13. Merlin

Looks like a virtue signaling propaganda opportunity gone wrong for Carpenter. I hope he pays up for that landscaping he destroyed whilst getting his ass whupped.

  14. dad29

what Timmy was really hoping to to do

Had nothing to do with “work” nor with capturing a “video.”  Another thing that had nothing to do with Carpenter’s activity that night:  “virtue”, whether signaled or otherwise.

  15. Kevin Scheunemann

local libs awfully quiet on this.

I bet they cheer tearing down Christian Republican abolitionists that sacrificed theit life fighting disgusting Democrat slavemasters.

    Typical godlessness.

Democrats still hate this good Republican today.

    Evers does nothing.

    Sick. Disgusting. Reprehensible.

  16. Mar

So the disgusting thug who the disgusting rioting, looters and batters were rioting for has been in charged federal court for extorting businesses in Madison and now faces 40 years in prison.
He might have gotten away with it Dane County courts, but he isn’t going to with the feds.
Thank goodness for President Trump, Attorney General Barr and Trump appointed Federal attorney arresting thugs who are rioting, looting and extorting.
    Elections do have consequences.

  17. Mike

Nice way to make us all feel safe.

    Mandela Barnes:

“Very disappointed to see what happened to my friend Senator Tim Carpenter last night. We have a common purpose to bring justice where it has been long overdue and individuals can’t be reduced to collateral damage in the process, especially those on the proper side.”
