James K Polk is number 8 on my list of great presidents of all time for embracing Manifest Destiny. Trying to decide if Trump deserves the #8 spot on my list of great presidents of all time.
Both presidents embraced American exceptionalism and our destiny to be the great hope for humanity against ugly, vile, leftist human rights tyranny.
Tough call for me on which one is better.
I now give permission for liberal heads to explode for what I just said.

Of greater value to many of us deplorables is the extent to which Trump’s populist policies were fought by the GOPe, in near lockstep with the lefties. Their relative value to their constituents has been laid bare.

But I am interested in Kevin’s 1-10 president list.
I do know, having lived through 12 presidents now, I would rank President Trump number 1, among those 12.

Gee mar, if the virus would have disappeared when it got warm, or if HCQ or bleach cured or prevented it, or if any of the myriad of other lies your guy told about coronavirus were true, then I wouldn’t need the vaccine. But he bungled the response, played it down, lost the trust of millions, blamed others, and took no responsibility. I’ll thank the scientists that developed the vaccine, the folks got it from the lab to the clinic, the staff that administered it, and the smart folks that ignored the BS spewed forth by the former administration, enablers and sycophants.
And yes, my wife and I are getting the first dose of the vaccine on Wednesday.
