Wisconsin Legislature Moving to End State Emergency Declaration

Jay Weber on WISN 1130 is reporting this morning that the Wisconsin Senate Republican caucus has the votes to override Governor Tony Evers’ emergency declaration, under which the governor has issued a mask mandate and restrictions of civil liberties. The Senate may move today and Weber reports that the Assembly is prepared to move if the Senate does.

FINALLY

It’s not about the mark mandate. It’s about arbitrary government.

    From the article:

Governor Gavin Newsom said Monday the state’s hospitalization rate was down nearly 20% statewide over the last two weeks.

“We are in a position, projecting four weeks forward, with a significant decline in the case rates, positivity rates, we are anticipating decline still more decline in hospitalizations and more declines in ICUs and that’s why we are lifting that stay-at-home order effective immediately today,” he said.

Kind of like WI and 40 other states.

More praise for our cutting edge, rear echelon legislative leadership for doing nothing more than showing signs of life.

That’s a bar even Evers can hurdle.

Looks like the number of cases are going down, but still very high. Our country is mobilizing to vaccinate as many people as possible. The smart play here is to wear mask and social distance to drive down the infection rate while people get vaccinated as fast as they can.

Or we could not wear masks, go about like nothing is wrong, and see how many people we kill.

    Finally, is right!
