Biological. Economic. Cyber. China is waging a war on the U.S. whether we want to admit it or not.
The US is expressing growing concern over a hack on Microsoft’s Exchange email software that the tech company has blamed on China.
“This is an active threat,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki said on Friday. “Everyone running these servers – government, private sector, academia – needs to act now to patch them.”
Microsoft said hackers had used its mail server to attack their targets.
It is reported that tens of thousands of US organisations may be impacted.
The US has long accused the Chinese government of cyber-espionage, something Beijing denies.
Our city government just got hit over a week ago and most of computer system is still down. They got a lot of federal agencies, including the military, looking at this. It’s not some kid in their basement playing a joke nor has there been demand for ransom
It’s more irritating than anything else. But it should be considered a awake up call that anyone could be hacked.
Is anyone talking about the big issue with the Fed Bank and then two days later with Credit Card processor Fiserve? Hmmmm, I doubt they’re isolated instances.
Cannot find any Fiserv hack on the interwebz except the big flaw reported in 2018.
China smells weakness.
Biden voters put us here.
When I think about all those $ that the Federal Government received from those Trump China tariff’s , I ……
Wait , that’s not how it works , does it ?
You’re wrong again. The Feds took in some revenues on that deal.
But you’d prefer that your fellow citizens, steelworkers, AFL-CIO manufacturing-union members, tee-shirt makers etc., be unemployed so someone can sell cheap shit made by slave labor in China?
Smooth move!
A couple weeks ago we had flags at half staff for 5 days to honor the 500,000 KIA in the war China is waging on us.
did:
Maybe the feds could share some of that tariff revenue with Midwestern farmers? Pork producers lost >$1 billion due to the tariff wars. Other commodities were hit hard as well.
Dad, regarding Fiserv outage…

I didn’t say “Hack”, I said major outage. Sudden and major outages can be a sign of remediation of persistent threat actors. I know Fiserv uses(d) Solarwinds for infrastructure monitoring…
Except, things have gotten better for the farmers since there has been a truce in the tariffs: https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cnn.com/cnn/2020/01/18/business/us-china-pork-trade/index.html
Now, will Senile Joe enforce the agreement?
