Minnesota is Radioactive

When are we going to talk about the Democrats in Minnesota colluding to cover up a nuclear accident?

MONTICELLO, Minn. (AP) — A Minnesota utility began shutting down a nuclear power plant near Minneapolis on Friday after discovering water containing a low level of radioactive material was leaking from a pipe for the second time. While the utility and health officials say it is not dangerous, the issue has prompted concerns among nearby residents and raised questions about aging pipelines.

Xcel Energy discovered in November that about 400,000 gallons (1.5 million liters) of water containing tritium had leaked. The utility made a temporary fix but learned this week that hundreds more gallons of tritium-laced water leaked, leading to the shutdown decision.

Maybe this time they’ll call a licensed plumber.

Can you imagine the fines the local and federal government would levy against Jack Homeowner for a leak kf even 1000th the amount in something like laundry suds? I’m no rocket scientist but this surely is something far worse? And the utility was allowed to attempt a DIY first?

The Minneapolis leaders are liberals. Expect them to levy taxes to fix the problem from the victims…

Jason, my nuke-utility pal is dead, but in ALL likelihood, that stuff is not really a danger. If it were, you’d have heard about it on Teh Nooz, with pictures of five-fingered fish and glowing chipmunks.

You have a bunch of tritium on your glow-in-the-dark pistol sights.

First is the bigger picture on how the fed and local guvment selectively target the little man.

Second is how I’m not interested in drinking water exported from a tritium factory or from a DIY – This Old Reactor – fix up from a leak. Otherwise, good point?
