Huh. It’s almost as if Israel is a sovereign nation fighting an existential threat and isn’t concerned with the ravings of a senile American president and his domestic political concerns.
WASHINGTON — The White House is considering options for how to respond if Israel defies President Joe Biden’s repeated warnings against launching a military invasion of Rafah without a credible plan to protect Palestinian civilians, according to one former and three current U.S. officials.
The discussions are taking place amid growing concern in the administration and frustration among congressional Democrats that the president’s pleas will simply be ignored. Israel this week inched closer to initiating an incursion into the southernmost city in the Gaza Strip.
“Time and again, President Biden calls upon the Netanyahu government to take certain actions, and for the most part, time and again, [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu ignores the president of the United States. And so I think that makes the United States look ineffective,” said Sen. Chris Van Hollen, D-Md., in an interview.
Well, yes, but there’s more to the story.
If Netanyahu goes into Rafah, it will be with the intent of dragging the US into the war, since Iran will move to quash Israel’s incursion and Iranian involvement will spur US action. There’s plenty of anti-Iran sentiment built up in the US, and Netanyahu knows that.
There’s very good reason for the US to look at this (and Ukraine, for that matter) as a case of “Not my ranch, not my cattle” and wish Netanyahu good luck.
Notice the left’s go-to of “the Israeli’s have no plan to protect civilians”? Time and again they use that phrase against their political enemies. I think it startes with Obama’s affordable health care bill. It is a lot easier to say your opponents have no plan than it is to argue thepoints of competing plans and we have a compliant press willing to carry the message.
Netanyahu rightfully doesn’t give a shit what our moron president wants or (if you can call it that…) thinks.
We’ll go there. We’re not going to leave. You know, I have a red line. You know what the red line is? That Oct. 7 doesn’t happen again.
To that I give a standing-O.
While several Arab countries are quietly cheering Netanyahu on, our anti-Semite administration has stabbed Israel in the back by directly supplying hamas and forking over another $10 billion to hamas’s daddy.
Their embarrassing ineffectiveness has a lot to do with the fact that they have a very clear record of being constantly on the wrong side of just about everything. Even a stopped clock is correct twice a day. Not these guys.

This is exactly the same script that liberal politicians have been following from well before Obama. The script works. Blame liberal weaknesses on the other side with no proof even while it is provably obvious that they are the ones that are at the very least doing it too and in plain sight to boot. In supporting Hamas for decades they are the ones who have no regard for the lives of civilians, yet they cry and pull out their hair (pull off their toupees?) loudly BEFORE Israel hurts more civilians (that have also protected terrorists for decades) so they can pour vitriol out of their media asses that Israel is the cruel overlord in the scenario when it happens.
Didn’t the current situation begin with and is still continuing because hamas launched a surprise attack and killed Israeli civilians, took civilian prisoners and killed at least some of them brutally? They champion evil and decry the defenders for retaliation because hamas hides among its own innocent people. Standard liberal operations all while inexplicably getting support from their blinded zealot voters.
