Congratulations, President Trump

May you govern well and return our federal government to some semblance of our Founders’ vision.

With 88% counted every WI county voted for the state constitutional amendment requiring US citizen-only voting.

    Except Dane.

    71.3% for, 28.7% against.

Now the challenge is to keep the man alive long enough to get the job done.

I wouldn’t be sad seeing a cheeseburger take it’s natural course with him.

I look forward to seeing a worse economy in 12 months and people here trying to sell it as “better”, more than likely higher inflation than we have now, with similar other economic numbers. I will give him the same grace I give every incoming president. The first 8 months or so have nothing to do with the new president’s economy, they are riding what was given to them. After that, they are responsible for changes. Housing won’t be cheaper, energy won’t be cheaper, groceries and gas won’t be cheaper.

I am not personally worried about a Trump administration because he is truly flaccid when it comes to accomplishing anything significant, unless it is exec order which can be easily undone. Or sexual assault, he is REALLY good at that. He values sycophants and loyalty over experience and knowledge. And the way history has gone, we will see a swing in 2026 with Congress. And he is done in 4 years, we will get a Democrat again to clean up the mess, as has been the case for the past 16 years. American people are fickle.

He has already made me like $2k on my bitcoin. Silver lining.

I do find it funny the idiots that think Musk is going to do ANYTHING in the gov’t. And I am 50/50 on if he actually gives RFK a spot anywhere. But if he does, I will watch as childhood illness and diseases drift upward.

The House is razor thin right now. But I hope that if the Ds take it, that they absolutely BLOCK every single thing Trump attempts to do. Why make Congress work now… it hasn’t in 10 years.

And the positive thing for the 45th president… he now has the chance to be the 2nd worst president in recent history to the 47th.

Mmm, these grapes are pretty sour. I love sour grapes.

Actually T, no sour grapes. I said yesterday morning on THIS website that I thought Trump was going to win. Men would rather vote for a felon and rapist than a woman. I was resigned to that.

The democrats ran a good campaign, but she herself didn’t solidify on a single unifying issue. I think it was this website as well that I said that the top level Ds tossed her in the fire that Biden created and hoped she would do well. And if not could easily shuffle her off so as to not have to deal with her in 4 years. Honestly, she failed to go far enough left. She tried to court the moderate Rs and it was a horrible strategy. Cheney? Really? She tried to play both sides in Israel, when she should have gone hard in supporting Gaza. No talk about healthcare.

The D’s are losing men supporters. Because they are not working to appeal to them. While the Rs are gaining them by riling them up against a make believe enemy and not offering them any real solutions. It’s the same gameplan the Ds have used with abortion. Constantly promising they will “fix it”, but not doing anything about it. Politics.

Trump also won based on Immigration and Inflation. Two things that KH had no real answer to, because as VP she had no control over. But don’t let facts slow you down. People (even here) don’t want to listen to the actual truth and just want to yell at someone.

Do you want to place any bets on how the economy is in 12/24/48 months? My bet is on worse for most metrics.
Wanna bet on if there will be any ACTUAL mass deportations? My bet is no.
Wanna bet on if Trump does anything to actually fix the immigration process other than “close the border”? My bet is no.
    The national debt??? Please. LOL.

But again, I can’t wait to hear the excuses THIS time. Now again, I get to sit back and watch as Trump screws things up like he did the first 4 years. And the Rs have no one to blame but themselves. :)

Wow, JV, cool. I was just enjoying some sour grapes. I hate those super sweet ones like the confetti and cotton candy grapes.

Heh, anyway, I predicted Biden would beat Trump in 2020, it doesn’t mean I was for it or completely neutral, though I did vote 3rd Party in 2016 and 2020. Wishing him dead from a cheeseburger and already implying that he will be the 2nd worst President in recent history before he is inaugurated, kind of puts the lie to the no sour grapes theory, but that is just my opinion based on commentary. I figured if you were not just wishing ill on a political enemy and were being honest, you would not have had ‘give him 8 months’, and then already condemning his entire 2nd administration with every other word in the comment.

And no, I won’t bet with you before defining terms, because you will only read about the bad metrics in your press. For instance, the LSM will specifically measure jobs based on Biden’s record, but they will not mention that the time they are measuring was specifically when Dems reopened commerce in the US from the shutdown. Of course the Biden admin will beat just about everyone for jobs gained when restaurants were allowed to fully re-open and factories could start using all of their production lines again. They expect that their average viewer will not be able to put multiple facts together from times more than a month apart. No one asks ‘Why?’ anymore. They take their news as written with the ‘facts’ that are provided.

So who wins that metric? I say disallowed because it is like the job boom after WWII vets came home, and you would likely say allowed because you win it. My bet would be on ‘better’ in most metrics in 24/48 months unless Dems can manufacture a major crisis in Trump’s 2nd term. I believe there should be ‘mass’ deportations of convicts, but I would favor following the real path to becoming a citizen with a set time limit for any immigrant (with no felony criminal record here or in their COO) that can pass the tests and read and write English. Give them a 5 year time limit. Here is what would HAVE to go along with it: Any official card given to them must be marked “non-citizen” on the card and in the data base. It could have a 5 year expiration date. Then a card (like in WI) must be shown to vote and a picture of the card would be required in an absentee ballot. If they can learn what needs to be learned and take the time to do it, I am not against citizenship for all immigrants. All they would need to do to become a 5 year legal immigrant is come forth and sign up for the program. They won’t be deported, they would just be illegal after that time period or if they never came forward to sign up in the first place. And of course it would not include people being caught crossing moving forward.

    >The national debt??? Please. LOL.
I don’t understand the comment. Did someone say they thought Trump would lower the national debt or is this just a totally unsuccessful stab at Trump or his voters in general? I am fairly certain no one believes he will attack the national debt, much less be successful at it. You might as well have commented ‘And stopping the killing of innocent penguins by sharks??? Please. LOL.’
