I don’t think that she’s a fraud at all. I think she’s 100% authentic. I just think she’s an idiot… and hilarious… which I don’t think that is her intent.
Rep.-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) on Monday attacked what she called a double standard that has greeted her election to Congress “with suspicion” of “being a fraud.”
Referring to a Vox article detailing the failed legacy of retiring House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis), Ocasio-Cortez wrote on Twitter:
“Double standards are Paul Ryan being elected at 28 and immediately being given the benefit of his ill-considered policies considered genius; and me winning a primary at 28 to immediately be treated with suspicion & scrutinized, down to my clothing, of being a fraud.”
She is a complete idiot.
I blame failing, Marxist, public school systems she attended.
Clearly, they had no one on staff that had any clue about economics.
Worse, what is the education of those that elected her? That is even more scary.
I love that the right has pointed to her and are trying to make her look stupid. It is because they fear her. They fear her ideas catching on. Look at how they are constantly trying to discredit her by bringing up her clothing and look. I actually respect Owen for not jumping on that bandwagon.
And the right is also looking for someone that they can quote out of context or not to try and make her look stupid to combat the left’s constant re-quoting all the stupid things that Trump says and tweets.
If you want some entertainment, watch our current legislature handle the Google hearings. See how out of touch with today’s technology they are. And that is who we have chosen to represent us. It was kinda sad.
Too early to tell what she’s going to be. Not from the correct elite schools and country clubs for sure. Not yet an accomplished, shape shifting politician either. Hasn’t learned to lie by omission. On the other hand she tells you what she’s thinking whether you’ll like it or not.
That description pretty much fits Trump too, yet the lefties have made blood sport of demonizing Trump. Made Dubya out to be a complete idiot and Dubya behaved nothing like Trump. Hated Dubya’s daddy until he died, then couldn’t display enough faux affection for a dead Republican. Portrayed Reagan as a senile old dolt of a B-movie actor although he was once one of their own.
Try not to get the vapors because a bit of shade gets thrown at a freshman congress critter-elect.
JohnBoy complains: I love that the right has pointed to her and are trying to make her look stupid.
The pointing is self-directed, and the stupidity self-announced with unbridled ostentation. The right has nothing to do with parading of her inherent idiocy. She is the drum major of her self.
JohnBoy miscalculates: It is because they fear her.
Yeah. Go with that. Meanwhile, we righties will continue to chuckle and golf-clap at the comedy gold.
The Wizard sez: Too early to tell what she’s going to be.
There is a “scientific consensus” that one’s linguistic accent is ingrained before one is even able to speak. As eminent enviro-wako Al Gore once stated before congress, “A zebra cannot change it’s spots…”.
She may learn to play the game, but Miz Cortez, who was for tax cuts before she was against them, is as she will always be. Just like Trump.
Merlin, there are many accounts of Reagan exhibiting symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease in the mid 80s. Although nothing was diagnosed officially. And frankly, it doesn’t matter at this point, it is history. And as far as GHWB goes, it was the right that massacred him for tax policies way more than the left.
The left did go hard at GWB for sounding stupid when he would make up words on the fly. Both sides do the same thing. Obama was one of the best public speakers in recent presidential history and the right made up stories about how he couldn’t get by without a teleprompter. Clinton was a good public speaker, but he also had a warmness and charisma that drew people to him (probably TOO much, haha). ALL of them are intelligent.
Trump is just sloppy (and not traditionally smart). He says whatever his mind comes up with, without any facts or proof or thought behind it. And when it turns out he is proven wrong, just writes it off blames the media and moves on. And his supporters eat it up. As they say, there is a tweet for every occasion with him.
The left made the mistake of laughing at Trump and writing him off as a joke. Go ahead and make the same mistake with a charismatic, young, attractive, idealistic, minority woman. Lets see how that works out for everyone in the long run.
SIDE NOTE: Who is writing these DHS bulletins? Cookie Monster?
DHS is committed to building wall and building wall quickly. We are not replacing short, outdated and ineffective wall with similar wall. Instead, under this President we are building a wall that is 30-feet high.
FACT: Prior to President Trump taking office, we have never built wall that high.
This is DIRECTLY from the DHS website!
Also, you can go under a wall. I know this because I know how walls work.
“Sanders/Ocasio-Cortez 2020”
“Make America Venezuela!”
Ocasio Cortez is not like Trump. She is much more like Sarah Palin. A woman who was shot from a nothing into the spotlight. Both have gotten a LOT of media attention and have said things that were not what they wanted to project. Palin got a taste of the spotlight and after the election did whatever she could to maintain that spotlight. We have yet to see how Cortez will handle the spotlight that she is going to be getting. Hopefully Cortez doesn’t have an attention seeking family that can’t handle the spotlight like Palin had.
