Nothing says “unity” like a bunch of superrich elites lecturing the rest of America to “shut up and get in line.” Make no mistake… big business and big government love each other. They don’t like it when the little people talk back.
More than 100 corporate leaders joined in a Zoom call on Saturday to discuss ways they could counter new voting regulations that some see as a move to reduce electoral participation.
Their call was convened in response to new rules in Georgia, signed into law by the governor on March 31, which critics say brings back Jim Crow-era restrictions.
Executives who have said they would sign on include ones from: Pepsi, PayPal, Starbucks, AMC Entertainment, Merck, Hess and T. Rowe Price, according to The Wall Street Journal.
Actually it is Georgia that is saying shut up and get in line… this HOURS LONG, REALLY REALLY LONG line we are artificially creating for urban centers that are primarily minorities who vote democrat.
But please, continue to tell us how every single little thing that is proposed against the 2nd amendment is restricting your 2A rights, while people try to make voting harder and harder in the name of election fraud that no one can prove exists on a big scale…
Watch out , Johnny, telling the truth on this site will incur the wrath of the deniers, the aggrieved, and the gullible.
Great comment, BTW.
And another troll post from Troll Boy.
When are you going to post anything relevant?
And you are lying again, Le Roi. Find one comment against Jonnyv that was cruel or mean. Just 1.
Besides being a troll, you are a coward, a liar, uneducated and that is why you get trashed.
this HOURS LONG, REALLY REALLY LONG line we are artificially creating
Because three and one-half weeks of early voting is NEVER enough.
And racism, as you express in your post, is Not Good, jonnyv
Johnnyv, if you have a problem with long lines, then talk to the local officials who cut down on the number of polling places. It’s not the State that decides where or how many polling places, it’s at the local level.
And in the urban areas around Atlanta, why it’s the Democrats who are doing this.
And with the number of early voting days being expanded, the lines, in theory, should reduce lines on election day.
What’s wrong with standing in line to vote, urban area or otherwise? Been standing in voting lines since 1976 and I can’t recall ever having felt incapable of the required effort or abused by a system trying to drive me away. Longest line I ever stood in was for the new messiah back in 2008. Second longest line was for that same messiah in 2012. Didn’t see any paramedics pacing the line waiting for their urban residents to drop dead from sheer exertion either time. If a line keeps you from voting you’re just looking for excuses for why your lazy ass didn’t vote.
Yet it was OK that the Koch brothers (you know, the super-super elites) were in politics up to their ears. And it is fine that Citizens United allows corporations to act as individuals,. But it’s horrible for some corporations to discuss action against voter suppression by the state of Georgia (not the local officials, as the know-nothings here would lead you to believe).
Hypocrites.

Koch never moved a production facility due to politics and what the Hell does CU have to do with this?
Some concrete is looking for its Daddy, LeeeeeeeeeeeeRoy.
Spin, spin, spin…
“Actually it is Georgia that is saying shut up and get in line… this HOURS LONG, REALLY REALLY LONG line we are artificially creating for urban centers that are primarily minorities who vote democrat.’
It is true that Atlanta and the vast majority of urban centers across the country are Democrat run, and that is where the buck actually stops, imo. It is also true that the State is responsible (in Georgia) for training people on new procedures for existing workers and all procedures for new employees, and during the Democrat ‘fear of Covid campaign’, that training was sparse in Democrat run areas. But who is at fault there? 6 out of 7 voting officials opted out of helping with the election. Who was supposed to be trained on the new machines? Rural areas were much less affected often having only one or two polling places in a large area (not to mention a much less fearful and more suspicious reaction to the Dem fear campaign). You can go back and forth, use specific true facts and come to completely different conclusions based on which facts you used and which you ignored. Of all the suppression tactics that Republicans use at the State level, limiting polling places is not one of them. It is the domain of local Governments. If urban Dems budgeted more money to voting and less to their pockets, there would be no shortages of polling places.
Hypocrisy is synonymous with US Government today. You can’t be a strong Republican or Democrat official or follower and not be a major hypocrite. But please, continue to vote for the 2 corrupt major Parties. The truly blind will claim that their Party is virtuous while the other Party is evil. It is easy to tell the truly foolish or well programmed. They will never criticize their Party and when there is indisputable proof of wrongdoing they will deflect and ignore until a new topic saves them and they can safely forget the wrongdoing ever occurred.
Dad, I think the nurse at the institution accidentally gave Le Roi an extra Thorazine this morning, possibly explaining his incoherence.
JV claims: “…. this HOURS LONG, REALLY REALLY LONG line we are artificially creating…”
I challenge you to tell us how Georgia’s Election Integrity Act creates these HOURS LONG, REALLY REALLY LONG lines.
Be specific.
So, the only person who was rude and uncivilized on this post was Le Roi.
Just another lie by Lying Le Roi.
But he takes after the person he cheers for Senile Joe.
I guess perverts and liars stick together.
