People Flock to Vegas

Weary Americans get back to having fun.

Capacity limits in Las Vegas casinos drop again Saturday — allowing 80% occupancy — while person-to-person distancing goes from 6 feet (1.8 meters) to 3 feet (0.9 meters). Masks are still required.

“People were just yearning to go someplace and let loose,” said Alan Feldman, a former casino executive who is now a fellow at the International Gaming Institute at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Among the first arrivals were people ages 60 and older who were recently vaccinated with time and disposable income, he observed.

Analysts said pent-up demand, available hotel rooms and $1,400 pandemic recovery checks from the federal government have contributed to the rush.

The casinos are begging for people to work there.
Right now, the minimum wage is $8 an hour there.
Minimum wage next door in Arizona is $11.15.
Not many people are wanting to work in Nevada and the casinos are even offering sign on bonuses for certain jobs.
You can thank the dumbass ass Democrat governor for their problems.
(Just FYI, the governor, Steve Sisolak, used to be a voice of reason but power got to him)

Went last August when nobody was there.

Best time. Had whole place to ourselves….LITERALLY. No wait for High Roller, Zip Line, pools, restaurants, etc, etc.

Vegas stinks when it is wall to wall people.

But did you enjoy the heat, Kevin?
It was interesting because there was a war on between the mayor of Vegas, Carolyn Goodman and the Democrat governor, Sisolak.
She wanted the casinos and restaurants to open and the tyrant governor ignored her.
And since she had no control over the Strip, the Strip suffered even more than the City of Las Vegas.
Nevada was/is a perfect example of what a dictatorship looks like.

5 kids. Pools are awesome in 110 degree heat.

Not a lot of waiting to get in as long as you filed pool reservation.

    Plenty of pool room.
