Even if one supported the federal government forcing private companies to produce a product, Biden’s record of complete failure in everything he touches should scare the hell out of you.
Biden is also threatening to use his ’emergency power’ if oil companies do not take action to lower prices for a gallon of gas.
‘Government tools and emergency authorities to increase refinery capacity and output in the near term, and to ensure that every region of this country is appropriately supplied,’ he wrote. ‘Already, I have invoked emergency powers to execute the largest Strategic Petroleum Reserve release in history, expand access to E15 (gasoline with 15% ethanol), and authorize the use of the Defense Production Act to provide reliable inputs into energy production.’
‘I am prepared to use all tools at my disposal, as appropriate, to address barriers to providing Americans affordable, secure energy supply,’ he added.
>Even if one supported the federal government forcing private companies to produce a product
ACT10 & so-called “Right to Work” laws requires unions to provide their services for free to those workers who don’t wanna pay…seem to recall many folks on this blog supporting both of those measures.
That aside, there is nothing in the article which states nor even suggests that Biden is going to force oil companies to produce any sort of product. Rather, he is asking the major oil companies for “any concrete ideas that would address the immediate inventory, price, and refining capacity issues in the coming months – including transportation measures to get refined product to market”
Can’t see how any reasonable person can view that as any sort of “threat”, let along a threat to force those companies to produce a product, but am willing to listen to anyone willing to connect the dots on that one.
>ACT10 & so-called “Right to Work” laws requires unions to provide their services for free to those workers who don’t wanna pay
Actually, since you’re so hung up quibbles like a Q vs a G, you should be the last person to make the statement “require unions” when talking about Act 10. Since you’re such a nit picking Karen, I have to bust your balls on this Penny – Act 10 only affect public sector unions.
And technically, those public sector unions, which you neglected to property attribute in your pedantic statement… the only service they can provide is bargaining for a pay raise no higher than the CPI – so the services they offer are minimal, and every member now (thanks to Act 10) has the freedom to choose if they want to pay for that service or not. Freedom, which many of us here support…. seems to be something you’re against? Maybe because you think aborting fetus tissue with a vacuum cleaner is also “freedom”? Maybe because you think Putin has the freedom to rename Ukraine? Maybe because you think Biden and the Swamp has the freedom to tell a business what to charge for their products?
>Rather, he is asking the major oil companies for “any concrete ideas that would address the immediate inventory, price, and refining capacity issues in the coming months – including transportation measures to get refined product to market”
From the article – “He also accused them of not increasing production in order to keep prices higher. ”
So you’re lying now as he did a lot more than just asking them for “concrete ideas”.
Here’s a hint for you…. the railroads are cutting back on shipping petroleum products – that’s 83.33% (repeating of course you cunt) of the transportation issues – thanks to the Idiotic Left’s fight against pipelines for years and years and years, and Biden’s stopping of pipelines in one of his first EO’s (record numbers, BTW).
So to sit here and defend your chump leader shows what a stain collector you are.
>but am willing to listen to anyone willing to connect the dots on that one.
We all know that’s a lie by now, sorry Lamequin.
>Act 10 only affect public sector unions.
That is correct. And “Right to Work” laws…which was also mentions….affects private sector unions.
Fuck off, troll.
>And “Right to Work” laws…which was also mentions….affects private sector unions.
But not in the way you imply – “provide their services for free to those workers who don’t wanna pay”
What Right to Work in WI means is that a employee is FREE to choose to join the union and pay union dues, or FREE to choose not to either. Lets not gloss over the fact that an Employer is FREE to hire and retain a worker, regardless of their membership in a union. Quite a difference there Mr Q and G… and we don’t forget your angst at the liberal use of the word “WE” in another set of wasted commentary…. you never did address any points in that other than “You shouldn’t have said WE! boo-hoo-hoo, tears and other Troll antics”
So, regardless of whatever syntax of mine you want to piss your pants over… you appear to be against freedom when you whine about Act 10 and Right to Work laws. Is that accurate? If not, I’m all ears bitch, I encourage you to take a minute to collect your thoughts… but don’t cry when you get verbally slapped… AGAIN.
And PenqguinKarenLamer, you completely ignored the second half of my response… probably too intelligent for your feeble gray matter. Here’s a tldr; You’re a fool.
> Is that accurate?
No, it is not accurate.
Now fuck off, troll.
>No, it is not accurate.
Sure… did you wave your hand when you wrote that? Penny, I encouraged you to take a minute to collect your thoughts…. that doesn’t mean that you should just slink away into the darkness.
It’s beyond hilarious that Senile Joe Biden is the 100% cause of the high gas prices and now is begging coil companies he despises and wants to put out of business and begs Venezuela, Iraq other not nice countries to provide more oil.
Senile Joe is an embarrassment to the country.
>Senile Joe is an embarrassment to the country.
The only thing worse is that PennyG is in here defending JoeyB.
Asking an industry you’re actively trying to put out of business to spend their money to get you a temporary bump in your polling numbers is rather bizarre, even for Democrats. Seems like they should be turning to their green energy saviors rather than those filthy, evil oil people. Green energy should be saving the world right about now.
>Joe Biden is the 100% cause of the high gas prices
Quite a few people I know would agree with you about that.
If true, then it would mean the White House is the only one who could lower the price of gas…no? With that in mind, what action(s) would you like to see the Biden Admin take in order to accomplish that goal?
Did notice you made a push for more green energy but that seems to be more of a medium-to–long term solution rather than immediate…and we need something quick.
what action(s) would you like to see the Biden Admin take…
Leave.
“With that in mind, what action(s) would you like to see the Biden Admin take in order to accomplish that goal?”
First, Senile Joe should he was wrong trying to get rid of the coal and oil industries. That may build a little trust with companies.
Next, open up the oil gas fields he closed down. Put back on the board the oil fields he just closed in Alaska.
Then, open up areas for franking.
Then, rollback the regulations that he increased when came into office.
Get the Keystone pipeline operating again.
Aniston threatening the oil and gas industry.
>Leave.
I’ll admit, I’m surprised that its one Arkancide I wouldn’t complain about…
He’d have to have some inside dirt, Jason.
1) Like everyone else the Clintonistas have always known BJ is nothing more than a narcissist puppet who is too stupid to be let it in on the actual game (and exactly why Obozo picked him as VP). The only dirt he is privy to is the mud pit that is his own sick family.
2) If, by accident, he had ever acquired a bit of troublesome political dirt the cabal, at this point, need not worry. It’s long gone, erased/buried/annihilated by ever-increasing false memories of accomplishments, like lumber jacking, saving the economy, and appointments to the Naval Academy.
This moron thinks that by his sacred decree and whiny threats hundreds of millions of gallons of gasoline will pop into existence overnight. This dim bulb thinks shale oil production can be turned on like a light switch. This jackass has done everything, as promised, to kill off the oil industries and all its workers, not to mention us, and now wants the industry to kiss his jackass.
I hope they kick it instead.
Nice to note that ExxonMobil put that jackass on Full Blast with their response. “You want us to spend $10 BILLION to build a refinery, requiring a 30++year payback period, while you’re saying that you will shut down carbon fuels during your term?” “Srsly?”
The senile old man can still do a good Stalin impersonation. Liberals cheer like idiots.
Yeah, but the Senile old man can’t ride a bike. Got to get him training wheels.
