It sounds like this money will go to build infrastructure to make it easier for people to cross the border.
Mexico on Tuesday agreed to contribute $1.5 billion to a joint initiative with the U.S. to improve infrastructure along the U.S.-Mexico border, according to a person familiar with the commitment.
[…]
The infrastructure project is intended to improve processing and security along the border, the person familiar with the agreement said.
Yes, this money will be used to build infrastructure to make it easier for people to legally cross the border. While your stance on illegal crossings are well-known, are you now suggesting that our borders should be completely closed to all traffic/people? Or is it just our southern border you wish to see locked-down? Please clarify…thanks.
Owen might just be thinking about the very recent mass murder of over 50 people in the back of one semi near San Antonio. Sorry, you’re not going to convince me (or many others here) that Bumblin Joe cares about them, and that he’s spending this money to prevent that from happening in the future.
>Or is it just our southern border you wish to see locked-down?
I remember when perception was that floating in from the Caribbean was seen as the primary portal to America illegally. At the time there were plans made to beef up the Coast Guard in that direction. I don’t have a problem with Government using resources to increase security at perceived weak points.
(Please) correct me if I am wrong, but the legal way is to apply before you cross the border isn’t it? And that has nothing to do with closing all traffic, who is advocating that?
It appears that the person who is commenting about the infrastructure being built to make it easier for people to legally cross the border isn’t very happy about the money being spent for that purpose.

And your non-sequitur was to jump from what you just wrote – to saying that person was instead “suggesting that our borders should be completed closed to all traffic/people”. You really have a problem thinking like an adult.
Since you didn’t correct him, then we’re in accord that the legal way to cross the border is to apply before you cross it. Good, there might be hope for you some day to be able to have a big boy conversation with us adults.
