KENOSHA — After just one month of operations at its new fulfillment center here, Amazon announced it will double its workforce by hiring more than 1,000 additional people.
The online retailer made the announcement Monday, saying it will hire to fill more than 1,000 additional full-time positions at its 1 million-square-foot fulfillment center at 11211 Highway S/Burlington Road.
Amazon also announced a job fair Thursday during which qualified applicants will receive job offers on the spot. The jobs involve picking, packing and shipping customer orders at the huge fulfillment center.
