Kudos to these Milwaukee Police officers.
Milwaukee Police Officers Joel Rossman, Jedidiah Thompson and Jutiki X gave honors to a flag tattered and burned by a protester.
This evening brought thousands to downtown Milwaukee for the theater, basketball game and the debate. During one demonstration, a protester set an American Flag on fire.
Milwaukee Police Officers, seeing the burning flag in the crowd, immediately grabbed a fire extinguisher to put out the flames. The plume from the fire extinguisher prompted reports of tear gas being used. These reports were false.
The flag was taken to be inventoried for possible charges against the protester.
Milwaukee police officers later conducted a small, dignified ceremony to properly fold the flag before placing it on inventory.
A class act in the middle of group celebrating a criminal.
Who was celebrating a criminal?
Those marching for the criminal whacking officer Chris Manny with a night stick.
Scott:
The article never mentions Officer Manney. kevin is making stuff up again.
Baldy,
That particular flag burning cabal was there to support Dontre Hamilton, the criminal who got shot for beating an officer with his night stick.
The group was upset that Obama’s justice department said the officer was not goig to be charged in federal jurisdiction. So what do the community protestors do when Obama fails to do what they want? flag burn at the Republican debate.
So which part am I “making up”.
Just because an article doesn’t mention something it must be made up???
Liberal logic strikes again.
kevin and terry:
So you can read an article about the Packers losing streak and come to the conclusion that wild pigs have eaten 37 adults in Langlade County? Where did you guys go to school? Trouble with reading comprehension?
Baldy,
So are you saying the protestors, who set the flag on fire were not supporting Dontre Hamilton?
They were there because they were hacked off at Obama’s justice department. Why these Democrat supporting pyromaniacs were doing at Republican debate is beyond me.
The GOP debate drew hundreds of people in an otherwise peaceful rally and march that were organized by civil rights groups Voces de la Frontera Action and Black Lives Matter, and living-wage activists with the group Fight for $15. Some protesters called attention to other issues, including pension cuts and marijuana legalization.
WDJT reported some of the demonstrators were protesting against Tuesday’s announcement that no federal civil rights charges would be filed against white former Milwaukee Police Officer Christopher Manney for the April 2014 shooting death of Dontre Hamilton, an unarmed, mentally ill black man. The local district attorney also declined to press charges.
Christine Neumann-Ortiz, executive director of the immigrants’ rights group, said the man who burned the flag was “not involved at all with the coalition of organizations that put together the march and rally.”
Lisa Lucas, speaking for those seeking an increase in the minimum wage, said in an email that the low-wage workers were upset and disappointed that the man tried to hijack their event.
Flynn said the man who set the fire had been arrested for arson in the past

Scott,
Don’t dispute all the other protestors were there, the flag was set fire in the middle of Dontre Hamilton protest cabal.
I find it interesting liberals run cover for flag burning for these Protestors upset at what Obama did!
That is the point that gets lost in liberal media.
kevin:
I said that you don’t know if he was or wasn’t. And that you couldn’t make that assumption from the material presented. Unless you were there in the midst of the protest there is no way could say otherwise. I’m not covering for flag burning, I claim you are making stuff up to suit your narrow-minded world view.
“I find it interesting liberals run cover for flag burning for these Protestors upset at what Obama did!”
I don’t know what this means.
Wait a minute. I thought several Supreme Courts have said flag burning was equivalent to anonymously donating money to your favorite candidate?
John:
Exactly. Flag burning is no different than dark money in a campaign. Yet kevin doesn’t abide by what the SC has determined. He is still picking and choosing which conservation ideas he likes…
Or as Prof. Shh ‘n Shh recently said it so clearly on RightWisconsin, “People who band together and pull their resources to communicate on the issues may not want to publicize their political views. They may not wish to open themselves to retaliation and harassment.”
