Ouch.
UnitedHealthcare, the biggest health insurer in the United States, said Tuesday that it plans to exit most of the Affordable Care Act state exchanges where it currently operates by 2017.
The health insurer had already indicated that it was dropping coverage of the plans, more commonly known as Obamacare, in Arkansas, Georgia and Michigan.
But during a conference call with analysts Tuesday, CEO Stephen Hemsley noted that “next year we will remain in only a handful of states.”
Hemsley explained that UnitedHealth will leave most states by 2017 because the markets for these exchanges are relatively small and also have higher risks for the company over the short-term.

Look into the “single payer, multiple provider” systems that are very successful in many countries in europe. That is what the ACA should have been to start with. Big insurance fought it and won.

Single payer is only one part of the health care system in Canada. I won’t defend the way they practice and provide care in Canada, but the single payer part would be a big cost saver here in the US. And “single payer” doesn’t mean socialist. Your shoot first, aim later technique failed again. Do some homework.

There are more definitions of “single payor(sic)” than what appears is kevin’s Dictionary of Made-Up Words”. Do your home work. Knowledge can free your soul.
Single payor allows government to dictate price and terms.
When a single customer can dictate price and terms, you are a literal employee of that customer.
I realize that this may hard to grasp for someone in government all their life.
