The Democrats continue their trajectory of ever-expansive liberalism from the New Deal through the Great Society through Obama and Clinton today. While the GOP, the nation’s conservative party, its ideology refined and crystallized by Ronald Reagan, has just gone populist.

Part of the puzzle for elected Republicans will be whether or not they go along with the redefinition of the party. For example, will Wisconsin Republicans become Trump Republicans like Big Fitz? Or will they try to retain their conservative identity?
