I’ll say it again… Trump’s cabinet so far looks outstanding. These are smart, substantive people who are capable of doing very big things in their jobs.

If Pence and Ryan continue their obvious influence. Trump will make and unexpectedly good, conservative, president.
I’m hoping Trump will pleasantly surprise.
We all wonder if Pence influenced the Carrier debacle in IN. The taxpayers of IN now get to pay for the move of 1300 jobs to Mexico, and build the new factory. I thought good conservative principles called for government keeping out of business decisions? No outrage over this mess?

The outrage is the Obama administration with it’s over-taxation and over-regulation forcing the company to this position.
Cleaning up the liberal economic mess is difficult.
I don’t like crony deals either, but Obama has made such a disaster of this country…tough to fault Trump for what he did.
You really should do your homework, over regulation and over taxation aren’t the reasons Carrier said they were moving. Look it up.

As somone that has more experience in refrigeration issues than many refrigeration repairman….you would cringe at the amount of regulation in HVAC.
I had to argue with a manufacturer to send me a specialized drian hose for a piece of refrigeration equipment because I was not licensed.
Fortunately, I found a distributor that did not care.
You would like to ignore the economic regulatory oppression of our government, but my eyes are wide open on it.

Going back to the Carrier situation, they did not consider “regulatory oppression” as the driving force behind the move to Mexico. You can look it up.

Some companies cannot be critical of regulatory authorities. It’s like a plumber openly bad mouthing an over zealous plumbing inspector. The business can’t do it.
It may end up making situation worse.
Mexico regulation is far less, and cheaper, to comply with.
That is the problem.
You don’t see people moving manufacturing to Cuba….because regulation is much worse there.
