Choice and Charter Schools Outperforming Public Options

Yup.

The study, Apples to Apples, released on Wednesday, shows charter schools and private school voucher programs doing better at educating students than public schools in Wisconsin.

Will Flanders, education research director for the Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty  said students in Milwaukee’s private school voucher program performed significantly better than their public school peers when controlling for socioeconomic status.

This is largely true because many private schools are free to educate the Spirit, which is essential to child’s education.

Liberals, thanks to Freedom from Religion foundation, stifle educating the Spirit in public school.   Liberals have destroyed an essential component of successful education.

“to educate the Spirit, which is essential to child’s education”.

“Liberals have destroyed an essential component of successful education”.

    Utter nonsense.

    Nord,

The fact you cannot understand the basic education problem makes you part of problem.

I am not surprised by your lack of understanding.

Did you read about the dismal black graduation rates at UWM?

Friend is a teacher at a charter school.  Her pay and benefits are less than her counterparts at the union run schools.  Despite that, she was happy to get the job and has said many positive things about her experiences.

What I did take away from our talks was the charter school is not top heavy with overpriced bureaucrats and overbearing political correctness monitoring.  She gushed about the positive support from the front office and parents.  She loves her kids and is even allowed to give them a hug.

No idea about other charter schools but compared to my experiences with my son and the a$$holes that run Friess Lake and Hartford Union public school, I wish he had the opportunity to go to a charter school.

If the “basic education problem” is lack of religious teaching, why do all 5 public districts in our northern rural county have higher scores on average than schools in the study?  And the only religious HS in the county just went down in a cloud of mismanagement.  I’d say that the biggest educational problem, using the facts at hand, is not a lack of educating the spirit.
