It is pretty funny to watch the political contortionists at work.
President Trump lashed out on Twitter Tuesday, hours after his firing of FBI Director James Comey, and accused Democrats of hypocritical criticism of the abrupt ouster.
The stunning dismissal led to Democrats and even some Republicans to boost the case for an independent prosecutor to oversee the FBI’s investigation into whether any Trump associates colluded with Russia to influence the 2016 election. Many critics connected the unprecedented firing to Richard Nixon’s administration.
In particular, Trump attacked Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., who said last November of Comey: “I do not have confidence in him any longer.” Schumer is among the Democrats calling for a new independent prosecutor.
It’s pretty safe to say that Director Comey had lost the confidence of pretty much everyone with his bungling of multiple investigations. The only mistake Trump made here was waiting so long to pull the trigger, but I think he was waiting for Sessions to get his feet under him first.
Liberals going from ripping Comey for last 6 months, to defending him like he was a p[recious transgender activist, totally pure and holy in his cause, in span of 24 hours is absolutely hilarious!

So the Democrats don’t trust Andrew McCabe as the new acting Director of the FBI. Isn’t this the same Democrat who wife took $467K from Democrat Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, Hillary’s pal? Wasn’t McCabe in charge of the Hillary Clinton email investigation? Isn’t McCabe a big Hillary supporter?
So Schumer and his pals are calling for a Special Prosecutor in the Russia meddling case because they don’t think their boy will get the job done. Obvious political theater. So a partisan Hillary Clinton supporter, who has probably already stuck his snout deep into the Russia-Trump investigation, needs help from a Special Prosecutor?
All I hear is the sound of swamp water running down the drain and Democrats screaming.

Just read the New York Times is at it again. The Department of Justice is denying a New York Times report that James Comey requested additional money for the investigation into Russian election meddling just days before he was fired by President Trump.
“The story is totally false,” DOJ spokeswoman Isgur Flores.
